Heyo!  I mentioned this in passing in our previous post but really wanted to highlight this week the Canadian Financial Summit that is taking place this upcoming Thursday – Saturday, September 23-25, 2021 and you can secure your free ticket by signing up here.

This is a FREE summit with 35+ of the leading financial gurus in Canada.

Ben Felix of PWL Capital and co-host of the Rational Reminder Podcast (my fav podcast to tune into)?

Yep, he’s there.

Kristy Shen and Bryce Leung from Millennial Revolution and authors of Quit Like A Millionaire?

Yup.

Ed Rempel, one of the advisors I’d actually consider using if I didn’t have US accounts?

He’s there – twice.

Andrew Hallam, author of Millionaire Teacher and Millionaire Expat?

There.

You get the point. The list goes on and on.

This is an amazing lineup and its FREE. You literally will not find this high caliber of guests in one weekend anywhere else. I don’t know how they managed to get just about every well known Canadian personal finance speaker to present at this conference but they did it.

Please feel free to send this post to any friends, family, and co-workers that may be interested so that they can get their free tickets too.

So what’s the catch?

There literally is no catch.  That’s why I love this summit so much (and this is likely coming off as a sales pitch post haha)!

After you sign up, you’ll get an email each day of the summit with a link to that day’s sessions.  You have a full 48 hours from each airing to tune in for free. If you’re unable to make it during those 48 hours, you can then purchase an All-Access Pass to watch whenever it’s convenient for you. So mark your calendars!  Curl up on the couch with a cup of tea, grab a notebook, and get your learn on!

And while the speakers are all Canadian, this summit is not only for Canadians of course.  There is a ton of great info/topics for non-Canadians as well such as ESG ETFs, Cryptocurrency, Withdrawal Strategies, Semi-Retirement, Dividends, Spending for Happiness, Factor Investing, FOMO, the 4% Rule, Life Insurance, Raising Financially Responsible Kids, Are We Living In A Bubble, Life After FIRE, and on ad on.

At the top of the home page you can select “Agenda” to see the line up of speakers for each day along with some info on their session.

If you are not able to stream the videos within the first 48 hours, you also have the option to purchase an All-Access Pass (which is normally $197 but currently on sale for $86 (56% off) at the time of this writing) which will give you access to view anytime at your own pace (for life).  There are also a few Q&A sessions and bonus sessions that are only available to those with the All-Access Pass. I believe the price of the All-Access Pass will jump up to the full $197 after the summit airs so if this is something you’re considering I’d jump in at this discounted price as I can pretty much guarantee there is $86 of valuable content in there and you likely will end up making way more than your money back somehow. If you’re not satisfied with the summit there is a 100% money back guarantee, no questions asked.

Some more info about the talks:

It’s 100% online so you can stream all the talks right from your computer/tablet/phone while in your PJs. You don’t need to go anywhere or buy anything. I personally listen on 2x speed to cram as much content in as possible but do what works best for you!

I still can’t believe I’m typing this out but I’ll be a part of the summit speaking about FIRE and Family life.  Our session will be aired on Saturday, September 25. And in true Court fashion I had a total brain fart in the middle of recording our session! Here’s our little blip:

Of course, there will be a LOT of other topics covered, so please check out the link below to view all the speakers and talks that will take place.

That’s it. No essays. No paperwork. Just head on over to the Canadian Financial Summit, sign up for free, and get ready to take some notes 🙂

I’m honestly still in awe that I will also be taking part in the summit!  Can you tell I’m excited for it haha.  Never did I think I’d be cramming in all the talks last year to now be a part of it this year.  It’s truly an honour and I am very humbled.

Other News

Before signing off, I wanted to share a few other things going on that you may also be interested in.

  • Interac reached out to us to do an interview and the article is now published on their site if you want to check it out.  Thank you Interac team for having us on your platform!  I always find it interesting to see how a hour+ conversation is going to turn out when it has to get severely chopped down into a digestible article.
  • As mentioned in a previous post, we were selected as finalists for this years Plutus Awards and Government Worker FI reached out to the finalists to complete a survey to see what the habits of the 2021 Plutus Awards finalists were like.  For anyone who is interested in what goes on behind the scenes with blogging, or a blogger themselves, you likely will find this post interesting/helpful as there are a lot of similarities amongst the finalists.
    • I had to chuckle when my written out response to my writing habit made Government Worker FI’s favourite list.  Can anyone guess which response was mine??  Comment below and I’ll let you know if you’re right 🙂

That’s it for now and truly hope you’re all able to tune in to some, if not all, of the awesome content coming your way this week at the summit. Cheers!

  1. Another great lineup of presenters. This will be my fourth year binge-watching the summit. Now that I’ve moved into the draw-down phase I’ll probably skip one or two, but then again, perhaps I’ll pick up a few new tips and reminders to pass along to my kids.

    Educational, Inspiring, and Energizing.
    Five out of five stars!

    1. Love that blip Bob: “Educational, Inspiring, and Energizing.” Totally agree! Apologies on the late response back, hope you enjoyed the content this year and were able to soak in the jam packed sessions.

  2. Is this you Court: “I write when I’m at work and it’s slow”

The smiley face might be a clue, however, I do recall you mentioning where you do your writing.
